Get Mac & Cheese Delivered to Your Door, Starting Wednesday

Cheese-ology will begin delivering its full menu to the University City and Clayton areas.

, the macaroni and cheese restaurant that opened in the Delmar Loop last June, recently announced that it would launch a new delivery service on Feb. 1.

Owner Bill Courtney, a medical researcher at for 14 years before opening Cheese-ology, said that a delivery service has been a goal since the store opened.

“We did not have the extra funds available to start it immediately, so we delayed until we did,” Courtney said. “At this point, we are ready to start delivering on Feb. 1.”

Delivery details

Delivery will be available throughout , including the entire Delmar Loop. Delivery is also available to Clayton, in the 63105 area, and the East Loop, which Courtney said includes 6000 Delmar to the University City line.

“This area includes Washington University, , Concordia Seminary and the Clayton Business District,” Courtney said. “We will be starting our service with free delivery for everyone.”

Cheese-ology’s entire food menu will be available for delivery, including Take-and-Bake party trays. Some beverages will also be available for delivery, including canned sodas, , bottled water, milk and apple juice.

Cheese-ology veterans

If you haven’t tried Cheese-ology yet, you might not know what to expect. Situated in the old St. Louis Pizza Haus location, Cheese-ology opened to rave reviews, including one from in which she said that while the atmosphere “left a lot to be desired,” she didn’t come to be wowed by the décor.

“I came for the food—and Cheese-ology definitely delivered on that!,” Shephard wrote on her blog. “This place gets two (cheese-stained) thumbs up!”

A blogger named Virginia, AKA That Bald Chick, wrote that Cheese-ology is a “St. Louis must” for those visiting the area, and that though they rarely leave a restaurant without leftovers, she and her husband both cleaned their plates.

“When Hubs and I visited Cheese-ology, I instantly thought ‘nobody puts Cheese-ology in a corner,’” Virginia wrote. “I was tempted to pick up my skillet and lick it, to get all of the gooey cheesiness, but chose not to. People may have looked at me funny.”

Another surprise up his sleeve

As an added bonus, Courtney said that Cheese-ology will soon make it even easier for customers to get their mac and cheese fix.

“We will be introducing online ordering for pickup or delivery in the next four to six weeks,” he said said.

Cheese-ology is open Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays, deliveries will be made between noon and 9 p.m.
