YWCA Metro St. Louis will host a Job Fair/Open House, from 3 p.m.-6 p.m., on Tues., April 24, at its YWCA St. Louis Head Start Pagedale Center, located at 1436 Ferguson Ave., in St. Louis.
There are more than 10 teacher, teacher assistant and additional positions available at 11 YWCA Head Start centers that are located throughout the metropolitan area.
Head Start/Early Head Start, for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, is a federally funded comprehensive child development program designed to increase school readiness of children from income-eligible families. Head Start is recognized as one of the most cost-effective and successful programs for preschool children in the country. Parents interested in enrolling children in the Head Start/Early Head Start program are invited to tour the Pagedale Center.
