U City School District Hosts Fun Walk and MO Chip Event

There is fun to be had by everyone on Saturday, Aug. 10 with the district's first MoChip event and run/walk at Brittany Woods Middle School.

Come out on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to the University School District's first event aimed at child identification program and run/walk.

MOCHIP is an identification program where If a child were to become missing or abducted, identification data gathered through MOCHIP could be used to spread to law enforcement agencies to help bring the missing child home.

The program uses a computer disc to provide information to the parents. Microchips are not used in the program. The digital photographs, digital fingerprints and other identifying information are given to the parent or guardian of the child on a mini-CD computer disk. The information on the disk is compatible with the format required by the “AMBER ALERT” program.

Missouri Freemasons volunteers will be collecting data at Brittany Woods Middle School, located at 8125 Groby Rd.
