Three Days to Go: Countdown to Fair UCity

University City welcomes the arrival of summer with a festive carnival this Memorial Day weekend.

Fair UCity kicks off Sunday May 29, 2011 at Heman  Park, and continues on Monday May 30. The entrance to the Fair will be off Midland Boulevard, just south of Olive Boulevard

Each day this week University City Patch will highlight the various rides, food and games. Today, let's take a closer look at the entertainment. Below is a schedule of events.

SUNDAY, MAY 29, 2011 

12:00 p.m.:   Community Parade 
1:00 p.m.:     Heather Dawn Band  
3:00 p.m.:    Fanfare
5:30 p.m.:     St. Louis Flamenco Cultural Society  

The Monsanto Family YMCA Dance & Drill Team and the University City High School Steppers will be performing at a time still to be determined.  

MONDAY, May 30, 2011 

12:00 p.m.:   Flag Retirement Ceremony
12:15 p.m.:    Falun Dafa Demonstration
1:00 p.m.:      Young Ladies of Elegance & Gentlemen's Quarterly
2:00 p.m.:     International Folk Dancers   
3:00 p.m.:     The Mad Scientist - Fire & Ice  *** 
5:30 p.m.:      Jeff Hardin Jazz Band 

University City Boy Scout Troops are sponsoring a "Pioneering Rope Bridge" on both days of Fair UCity!  The rope bridge is being sponsored by Packs 102, 591, and 836 and Troops 49 and 493.    

***The Mad Scientist will be on the fairgrounds throughout both days of Fair UCity!
