Vintage Vinyl Mourns STL Music Legend Bob Reuter

Check out the display Vintage Vinyl in the Delmar Loop put up in honor of St. Louis music legend Bob Reuter, who died Saturday.

Fans of St. Louis music mourned Saturday at the loss of musician, artist, author, photographer and radio DJ Bob Reuter, who fell to his death Saturday in a downtown elevator accident.

Vintage Vinyl, the record store in the Delmar Loop, put on their marquee: "Our dear friend Bob Reuter RIP."

“I consider this an irreplaceable loss for the St. Louis music community,” said Tom Ray, owner of Vintage Vinyl, to the Suburban Journals. Ray and Reuter were friends for decades. Reuter hosted the show Bob's Scratchy Records on 88.1 KDHX and recently started a new band called Alley Ghost.

Editor's Note: On a personal note, I first met Bob in the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill in University City, so it seems especially appropriate to see his memory honored in The Loop. The St. Louis music scene lost one of its greatest supporters and inventors today, and I invite you to share your own memories in the comments.
