Things to do in and around University City this weekend.

Each week University City Patch brings you a roundup of things to do in and around U City. Here are some ideas for the weekend of Jan. 19-22.

Thursday

  • — Come to the Boathouse in Forest Park any Thursday through April 26. between 5 and 9 p.m. and enjoy three courses, highlighted by mountains of mouth-watering peel-and-eat jumbo shrimp! The meal is $18 per person for the three-course meal. The evenings also include $2 beers and $20 bottles of wine. Walk-ins welcome, or reservations may be made via Open Table or by calling Customer Service at 314.367.2224.

Friday

  • Corey Smith at — Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Florida-Georgia Line will open the show. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
  • Ellen the Felon & The Mettronome — The doors open at 8 p.m. for this 21 and over show at . The show begins at 9 p.m. and also features Spot Ons and No Man's Law. There is a $7 cover charge. 
  • Superhero Killer — 8 p.m. at . The event is restricted to 17 and over with a $10 cover charge.

Saturday

  • The Brothers: An Evening of Allman Brothers Music at The Pageant — Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Live at the Fillmore East will also perform. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
  • Mike Judy Presents — An all ages show at 5 p.m. at Cicero's. $8 cover charge and $3 surcharge for minors.

Sunday

  • Domestic Violence in the Community — A discussion panel following a screening of "Telling Amy's Story." The event will be held at 2 p.m. at .
  • Cool Nights, Hot Jazz — The jazz students of Webster Groves Middle and High School will perform at 2 p.m. at The Pageant. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.
  • Schaffrin — The doors open at 8 p.m. for this 21 and over show at Blueberry Hill. The show begins at 9 p.m. and also features Spot Ons and No Man's Law. There is a $10 cover charge.

All Weekend

  • — Experiments in human architecture in five one-hour performances at the Founders Theatre at COCA. Shows are at 7 p.m. Friday, 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $14-$18.
