Get Out: Football on the Big Screen, Jake's Leg and Continuing the Legacy

Each week University City Patch brings you a roundup of things to do in and around U City. Here are some ideas for the weekend of Feb. 3-5.

Friday

  • Jakes Leg at — The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $6. There is a $3 minor surcharge at the door.
  • Ransom Not and Bob Reuter's Alley Ghost at Blueberry Hill — The doors open at 8 p.m. The show begins at 9 p.m. and there is a $5 cover charge.

Saturday

  • — A performance using dance as a vehicle to take audience members through black history from slavery to the jazz era, from civil rights movement to modern day. Performances will be held at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday at . Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students. The event is recommended for children in fourth grade or older and adults.
  • Big Head Todd and the Monsters at — Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Trampled Under Foot will open the show. Tickets are $22 in advance and $25 at the door.
  • Michael Tolcher and Everest Awaits at Cicero's — The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $8-10. The show is restricted to those 17 and older.
  • ClusterPluck at — Show begins at 9 p.m.

Sunday

  • Football at the Tivoli — The is hosting a free Superbowl party this Sunday. Admission is free and beer and wine sales will be allowed.
