Update: U City's First Starlight Concert Is June 18

Update: The first Starlight concert will be held June 18, not June 11.

University City's free summer Starlight Concert Series kicks off tonight with a performance from the jazz combo of University City High School.

All concerts will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the south side of . The series is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the University City Municipal Commission on Arts and Letters.

This year’s line-up is as follows: 

• June 18:  Jazz Combo
• June 25: Rob Silverman (jazz, fusion, rock)
• July 2: The Styled Band (R&B)
• July 9: Power Play (variety — jazz, R&B, disco, Motown)
• July 16: Mystic Voyage (groovy)
• July 23: Fat Pocket Funk (funky)
• July 30: Retro Boogie (R&B)
• Aug. 6: Par 3 (contemporary)
