Jazz Clinic: The Multi-Cultural Language of Jazz

Jazz Clinic:  The Multi-Cultural Language of JazzA free educational jazz clinic is available for musicians all ages.  Co-sponsored by Washington University and the U City Jazz Festival, the clinic is hosted by world-class faculty and festival artists:  Director of Jazz Studies Bill Lenihan (guitar), Kara Baldus (piano), Maurice Carnes (drums).  Lenihan will lead a discussion on the elements of improvisation -- use of melody, ornamenting melody, blues, swing and rhythm concepts, and harmony.  Each participant receives a free gift bag from area retailers.  No prior registration or instruments necessary.
