City Museum Co-Founder to Speak at U City Library

Gail Cassilly will discuss her memoir, Saltwater.

On Monday, April 15, at 7 p.m., the Friends of the University City Public Library, will host an evening with Gail Cassilly, who will discuss her book, Saltwater.

Stepping out from the shadow of her former husband, the late Bob Cassilly, the author reveals the complex woman she is: a former nun who was a member of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa and served in Malawi for almost a decade; a well-regarded sculptor and artist; co-founder with Bob of the unique “City Museum;” mother; and a gifted writer.

The program is free and open to all – a very brief business meeting will precede the reading as this event serves as the Annual Meeting of the Friends group.
