University City Spared Worst of Friday Storms

Friday night's severe weather appears to have bypassed University City.

University City does not appear to have sustained damage in storms that passed through St. Louis on Friday.

When asked by U City Patch, via email, how University City fared during the severe weather, City Manager Lehman Walker wrote back that there was nothing unusual about the storm. "A few tree branches down which is normal," he added.

Around 9am Saturday I, U City Patch Editor Myra Lopez, drove around U City looking for any signs of damage and came up empty. I drove up Olive out to Pagedale and over to Melrose, around Heman Park and back onto Delmar and down Pershing Ave. and didn't see any damage, aside from a couple of tree branches down on the ground. However, they could have fallen in an earlier storm.
