University City Senior Center Gets New Wheels

The senior center will celebrate the bus donation with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 3:30pm.

Residents of the  in University City have a new 14 passenger van to get around in.

The vehicle was made possible with funding from the Lubin-Green Foundation and the Cruse Charitable Trust. The senior center will use the van to provide low cost transportation to essential services such as the grocery store and pharmacy, according to a press release from Crown Center.

The dedication festivities will include raffle prizes, photos, free trips and refreshments; and are open to all.

Crown Center for Senior Living is a non-profit agency in University City, providing affordable housing and supportive services to people with limited financial resources, age 62 and over.
