Tornado Reportedly Causes Damage, Injuries at Lambert International Airport

Tornado reportedly ripped through Lambert Airport Friday night.

KMOX Radio reports a tornado has caused major damage at Lambert International Airport Friday evening. According to KMOX, large glass windows were blown out, and heavy damage was reported to Concourse C. A tornado was reported at the airport at 8:14 p.m. C.S.T. Planes were blown about the tarmac. Some injuries were reported.

Due to TORNADO DAMAGE, the Lambert-St Louis International Airport (STL) was closed as of Apr 22 at 08:54 PM CDT.  The date/time when the airport is expected to reopen is not known.

According to Ameren Missouri the University City area is experiencing no significant power outages.
