One Day to Go: Countdown to Fair UCity

University City welcomes the arrival of summer with a festive carnival this Memorial Day weekend.

Fair UCity kicks off Sunday May 29, 2011 at Heman  Park, and continues on Monday May 30. The entrance to the Fair will be off Midland Boulevard, just south of Olive Boulevard.

At noon on Sunday, a community parade will formally kick-off to the Fair UCity! carnival. The parade theme is Celebrate U City!

Neighborhood organizations, schools, churches, synagogues, non-profit organizations and businesses in University City are all invited to take part int he 1.3 mile parade. Staging will begin at 11am at Jackson Park Elementary School. 

People who want to take part in the parade need to be at the staging area no later than 11:30am.

• North on Midland to the fairgrounds in Heman Park
