Mayor, Organizer Call Fair UCity! A Great Success

The chairwoman of Fair UCity! said the carnival was 'wildly successful.'

University City Mayor Shelley Welsch said an estimated 10,000 people turned out for this past Memorial Day weekend.

"Fair UCity! was a great success," Welsch said in an email to University City Patch, of the two day event, held Sunday May 29 and Monday May 30 at Heman Park.

"Organizers reached their goal – to bring people together to have a good time in a great community.  And people came from all over University City and from around the region.  It was a great event."
