Health Expo for Seniors to be Held Thursday at Centennial Commons

Expo at University City's Centennial Commons offers seniors health screenings in a fun environment.

University City seniors can undergo health screenings Thursday while listening to the sounds of Motown and mingling with other seniors.

The 4th Annual Healthy Lifestyle and Senior Resource Expo takes place tomorrow (Thursday), from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Centennial Commons Recreation Center at 7210 Olive Blvd. 

The senior expo is free and open to adults of any age who want to create a healthier lifestyle for themselves in a fun atmosphere, stated the press release about the expo.

Entertainment at the expo will be provided by Marty Keyes and his 3-piece band or the Big Papa “G” Golden Oldies Variety Show.

The 4 hour event will include a number of exhibits where people can learn about a wide variety of resources, services and products.

Complimentary lunch will be given to the first 100 attendees. Everyone will get snack samples. Participants will also be eligible for prizes, giveaways and raffle baskets.

The event is being presented by the University City Senior Resource Team and other St. Louis community partners. Mary Hart, who is part of the U City Senior Resource Team, says the group includes representatives from several organizations that deal with issues confronting mid-life and senior citizens, and serves as a resource.
