Fish On Bike Could Be Pedaling Again on Lewis Park Pond By End of Month

Gateway Foundation estimates costs for repairing the Fish on a Bike sculpture at $20,000.

The could be back in Lewis Park Pond by the end of the month.

The Gateway Foundation, which donated the sculpture and maintains it, hopes to re-install the piece by the end of May.

The sculpture was taken out for repairs after it was reportedly vandalized over the winter and was found "leaning," by the Parks Department. No one knows exactly what happened. It's thought that when the pond froze over this winter some people walked out to the statue and played on it, bending it.
