Home, Cars, Businesses in University City Damaged by Overnight Storm

The huge trees that make the Park View neighborhood in University City so lovely were battered by overnight storms, causing some to topple over on cars and homes.

One huge tree limb crashed down on the front porch of a home on Washington Blvd., causing major damage. On the street in front of the house, crews from a tree service were sweeping leaves and branches, and shredding the larger limbs.

Two cars on the street were flattened by a giant tree limb that fell on top of them. Broken glass was everywhere. A young woman stood nearby, upset and crying.
