Celebrate Make a Difference Day in U City

University City is participating in Make a Difference Day and is looking for volunteers.

For the third consecutive year, the City of University City is participating in Make a Difference Day – the largest national day of service.

This year several projects will occur throughout the City including:

  • River des Peres cleanup
  • Olive Boulevard cleanup
  • Alley cleanup
  • Wilson Avenue cleanup and 
  • A project with the University City High School students.

The Wilson Ave. and UCHS project are family-friendly opportunities.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. Volunteers will gather at Heman Park Centennial Commons for refreshments and orientation. 

Volunteers will need transportation to project sites at 8:30 a.m. and pickup when participation is completed.

The first 100 volunteers present at the event will receive a t-shirt
