Bikers Brake for Breakfast

Big Shark Bicycle Company in the Delmar Loop offered free breakfast to commuters who rode their bike to work for National Bike to Work Day.

About 30 people stopped by Big Shark Bicycle Company in the East Loop Friday morning for free juice, coffee and bagels.

The non-profit environmental organization, Trailnet offered the free continental breakfast to bike commuters as part of National Bike to Work Day.

Refueling stations were also located in Clayton, Creve Coeur and throughout St. Louis City.

Ken Henderson of U City was on his way to Saint Louis University Hospital this morning when he stopped to chat. Henderson said he's been riding his bike to the hospital for dialysis for the past 8 years.

U City Richard Sandler, a teacher at John Burroughs School, brought a group of students with him. Sandler said he rides his bike to school everyday.
