- Your choice of student. AYA allows you the opportunity to choose a carefully screened student who will best fit your family.
Learn about another culture, its customs and language by hosting an international student for 5 or 10 months.
Build a relationship with an AYA international student who will become like a son or daughter to you.

Lifelong friendships. Build a bridge with another culture and start a lifelong friendship with the student and his/her family.
Promote international understanding. AYA students 15 – 18 years old attend high school and have their own medical insurance and spending money.

Host Families can claim a charitable tax deduction for hosting students.
Families are asked to provide meals, a place to sleep and study, and a loving home environment for their student. Hosting an international student is an amazing experience!
