U City's Outdoor Yard Sale, Community Resource Fair Is Saturday

The City of University City and Heman Park Centennial Commons will host the annual outdoor yard sale and community resource fair from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Heman Park Swimming Pool parking lot.

The event is free and open to the public. Community organizations and civic groups will host booths at the event to provide the public with information about activities and involvement. Individuals and groups also will host their own yard sales at the event.

“This event has something for everyone,” said Deputy Director of Recreation Lynda Euell-Taylor in a press release. “We have groups who will be selling items to benefit charities. We have individuals who just want to host their own yard sales to sell household items. Of course, we will have groups on hand to provide information and resources to event patrons. Whatever you’re looking for, you will find it at the Community Resource Fair and Outdoor Yard Sale.”

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Heman Park Community Center.
