 Art Museum St. Louis as part of the Susan Sherman Speakers Series\, whic
 h features world-renowned artists.\nThis event is free and open to the p
 ublic.\nWhile at the  Studio Museum\, Golden has organized many notable 
 exhibitions including  Chris Ofili: Afro Muses 1995-2005\; Black Romanti
 c\; Freestyle\; Frequency\;  Glenn Ligon: Stranger\; Martin Puryear: The
  Cane Project\; and Isaac  Julien: Vagabondia.\nGolden holds a B.A. in A
 rt History and  African-American Studies from Smith College and honorary
  doctorates from  the City College of New York (2009)\, San Francisco Ar
 t Institute (2008)\, Smith College (2004)\, Moore College of Art and Des
 ign (2003)\,  and was awarded a Barnard Medal of Distinction from Barnar
 d College in  2010. \nGolden is currently a member of the Committee for 
 the  Preservation of the White House and was appointed to the position b
