The School District of University City announced its 2013-14 teacher and educational support person of the year Wednesday. Superintendent Joylynn Pruitt and other administrators surprised 2013-2014 Teacher of the Year and Educational Support Personnel of the Year. Dr. Jamie Jordan, principal of Brittany Woods Middle School in the School District of University City, has been named the 2013 Missouri Middle School Principal of the Year by the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals. Jordan will receive the award at the annual MASSP Spring Conference on Monday, March 25. More than 400 middle school principals were considered for the honor. Robert O. Heuckeroth, MD, PhD, has been named the Alumni Endowed Professor of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is a pediatric gastroenterologist and sees patients at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. The professorship was established by gifts from medical alumni, former medical residents and other supporters of the School of Medicine.
