Tomorrow's Garbage Bag Gala is going to be the place to be in St. Louis. Word on the street is that there will be some super trashy designs showcased by volunteer models and some live music to get the room bumpin'!
Yes, bumpin'! Rob Cruse with Cruse Entertainment wrote 3 songs specifically for the Garbage Bag Gala. The songs are "clean", no profanity, and addresses tomorrow night's issue: homelessness and life on the streets. The St. Louis Salvation Army will have rights to use the songs at future events.
Rob Cruse is a St. Louis native with a love of rap and hip-hop. He's been in the music biz for a while now, performing, writing, and helping new artists get their start.
"We think you'll like the songs. Everyone who has listened so far does, even our toughest critics," says Cruse.
Cruse and DJ Epic will provide live entertainment for the gala starting at 7 pm at the Moonrise Hotel.
The Garbage Bag Gala will showcase area designers who put their creativity to the ultimate test by designing two outfits out of trash bags and duct tape. Models will walk down the runaway showing exactly what can be done with simple, but yet versatile materials.
Proceeds from the event will go to fund homelessness programs provided by the St. Louis Salvation Army. Tickets are still available.
