UCHS Girls Win First State Track Championship
Emmanuel Price also took first in the triple jump.
The University City High School girls track team took first place overall Saturday in the Class 3 Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) state track and field championship.
UCHS finished with an overall score of 66 from 18 events. The top five finishers included:
University City's Emmanuel Price also took first place in the state triple jump championship.
The events were held Saturday at Lincoln University in Jefferson City.
Competing students include:
- Amani Borders — 300 hurdles, 4x200 relay, 4x400 relay
- Kayla Heidelberg — 100 hurdles, 200, 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay
- Chantel Bethune — 400, 4x200 relay, 4x400 relay
- Quindara Jackson — 300 hurdles
- Jamesha Howard — 400, 4x200 relay, 4x400 relay
- Erika Murphy — 4/100 relay, 4/200 relay
- Taylor Gibson — triple jump
- Jordan Jennings — 100, 200, 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay
- Nelson Adkins — 4/100 relay
- Emmanuel Price — long jump, triple jump, 300 hurdles
- Tony Newman — 200, 400
- DeVante Washington — 4x100 relay
- Jamour Kaid — triple jump
- Quartez Couzart — 4x100 relay
- Lynden Peoples — discus
