U City Police Blotter: Burglaries, Auto Theft

Here is a look at the blotter from the week of Jan. 14-20, 2013.

The department arrested 52 adults and five juveniles. There were three burglaries, one motor vehicle theft and one case of stealing from a person.

The reporting party stated that person(s) unknown broke into his vacant residence by forcing open the basement window and stole copper piping.

13-1514 68xx Raymond Ave. Jan. 15

The reporting party stated that male subject walked up from behind and pulled her purse. The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10", 180 lbs., medium complexion, wearing a black "puffy" jacket with hood, blue jeans, a black skull cap, and boots.

A suspect has been developed and the investigation continues.

13-1377 701 Westgate Ave Jan. 13

The reporting party stated that person(s) unknown stole his locked black 2000 Jeep Cherokee.

13-1418 75xx Milan Ave. Jan. 14

The reporting party stated that person(s) unknown unlawfully entered his residence and stole a tablet computer.

13-1614 70xx Melrose Ave Jan. 16

Person(s) unknown gained entry into the residence by breaking a north facing dining room window and stole small appliances.
