U City Police Blotter: A Rash of Burglaries

Burglaries and an attempted auto theft in University City.

 

Each week, University City Patch features a look at reports from the University City Police Department.

Here is a look at the blotter from the week of May 7-13.

The department arrested 63 adults and five juveniles. There were two burglaries, a robbery and one attempted auto theft.

12-14844 6311 Bartmer Industrial May 6-7

Person(s) unknown gained entry into Brouster Construction by damaging the rear door. The suspect(s) stole an electric paint sprayer.

12-15524 7430 Wayne Ave. May 12

A witness stated he observed a black male, aged 25-35, slight beard, dark complexion, attempting to push the victim's scooter from where it was parked. The witness stated he yelled at the suspect, who dropped the scooter and fled from the area.

12-15198 8357 Braddock Drive May 9

The victim, an employee of Imo's, stated he received a delivery order for 8300 block of Braddock. When he went to the address to deliver the pizzas, the resident said they did not order the food. As he was walking back to his vehicle, two black males, wearing dark clothing, robbed him. The suspect(s) stole small amount of money and two pizzas.

12-15353 7839 Drexel Ave May 8-11

Person(s) unknown damaged a window and the front door lock on 7839 Drexel, which is vacant. One neighbor observed a black male, 18-20, wearing a green polo and shorts in the rear yard of 7839 Drexel on May 10 at approximately 5 p.m. A second neighbor observed an older model pickup truck in front of the residence on May 10 at approximately 6 p.m.
