U City Library Seeking Gallery Artists
Deadline for submissions is April 30.
THE GALLERY of the University City Public Library is seeking applicants for juried one-month shows for its 31st season. Our large dedicated exhibition space of 1,250 sq. ft. is suitable only for wall-mounted work.
The library is not able to accommodate free-standing pieces or works requiring display cases. Applicants should be familiar with the space and have sufficient work to mount a full one- or two-person exhibit.
Exhibitors are chosen by a jury of local artists.
A short resume of artistic background, 12 images of recent work on a CD, and a list with dimensions and medium of each piece are required. Send or bring entries to: THE GALLERY, University City Public Library, 6701 Delmar Blvd., University City, MO 63130 by Monday, April 30.
CDs will be returned by mail only if a self-addressed stamped envelope is included. The jurors will meet in May and artists will be informed shortly afterwards of their decisions.
THE GALLERY features a variety of quality exhibits by emerging and established artists along with shows by community groups and schools in the off-season.
University City Public Library strives to provide a diverse and welcoming art experience for its patrons and the community where exhibits can be viewed year round during regular library hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and from 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
