University City Chamber of Commerce Opens for Business

About 50 people turned out for the first meeting of the newly launched University City Chamber of Commerce.
The breakfast event Tuesday morning at the Brentmoor was a chance for the Chamber to introduce itself to the U City business community.
Lars Johnson, owner of the IT company SwifTechs and chamber president told University City Patch that the University City business community has been "overwhelmingly positive," about the new University City Chamber of Commerce. "It's a really needed function in U City," he added.
He said the chamber has an aggressive memberhsip fee structure. He said businesses that join will see an immediate benefit.

The chamber will hold a lunch event at noon on Dec. 7 at the Wei Hong Seafood Restaurant, located at 7740 Olive St. Blvd. Matt Beaver with the Edward Jones Co. will discuss timely market topics and investment strategies. $10 for lunch of free to the first 50 new chamber members.
