The Muny opens its seventh production of the 94th season tonight with The King & I. The show runs through Sunday, Aug. 12, and closes out the 2012 season.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's captivating and timeless East-meets-West musical treasure includes "Something Wonderful," "Shall We Dance?" and "Getting to Know You."

Cultures collide as Anna struggles to find her place in the exotic Siamese world of beauty and grand tradition, ruled by a King whom she must learn to serve and understand.

Kevin Gray plays The King of Siam. He returns to The Muny after previously playing the Engineer in Miss Saigon (2001). Making her Muny debut as Anna Leonowens is Laura Michelle Kelly. Rounding out the cast are Joan Almedilla as Lady Thiang, Joshua Dela Cruz as Lun Tha, and Alan Ariano as the Kralahome.

The King and I is directed by Rob Ruggiero.
