Teen Swag to Perform at July's Movie in the Park
The non-profit group teaches good works through dance.
University City's free Movies in the Parks series will continue on Wednesday, July 11, with a screening of the movie Akeelah & the Bee at Lewis Park. The movie will begin at approximately 9 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
The final film of the series will be screened on October 13 at Heman Park, and the movie title will be determined by a “Viewer’s Choice” vote among residents. Surveys for the “Viewer’s Choice” movie will be available at all movie screenings or online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/66VW2G8.
The remaining list of films to be featured in the 2012 ‘Movies in the Parks’ series include:
- Bend it Like Beckham — Aug. 8 at Flynn Park
- To Kill A Mockingbird — Sept. 15 at Fogerty Park
- Halloween-themed Viewer's Choice: Super 8, Stand By Me or Goonies — Oct. 13 at Heman Park
This year's movie series opened in April with American Graffiti.
