U City Teen Charged with Two Burglaries
Police said the 18-year-old U City resident acted with others in the burglaries in St. Louis County.

A teenager was charged July 12 with two burglaries in St. Louis County.
Vernell Windom, 18, of the 6500 block of Corbitt Avenue in University City, was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of stealing and stealing a firearm.
St. Louis County Police said in a report that Windom and another person broke into a home in the 4300 block of Varano Drive between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 22. They stole a 42-inch television and a semi-automatic handgun, the report said.
Police said they also entered a home in the 11800 block of Galba Drive between Dec. 23, 2011 and Dec. 23, 2012 and stole two televisions, a laptop, an iPod and a PSP game system.
Both burglarized homes are in unincorporated St. Louis County between New Halls Ferry and Old Halls Ferry roads.
Bond was set at $30,000.

Is that a misprint or could they really only narrow the date on that second incident to a 364 day span (between December 23, 2011 and December 23, 2012)? That doesn't even make sense since were currently only barely halfway through the period.

Earl - That information was in the Probable Cause statement that way. I wasn't able to get clarification on that information before 5 p.m. yesterday. Also - The article has been corrected. The addresses burglarized were not in University City and the crimes were investigated by St. Louis County Police. Sorry for my mistake.
