St. Louis Community Credit Union Employee Pleads Guilty to Embezzlement
The employee embezzled approximately $104,755.
Jamie Askew pled guilty to embezzling approximately $104,755 from St. Louis Community Credit Union between July 2009 and May 2012.
According to a press release, Askew, 36, Troy, IL, pled guilty to one felony count of embezzlement from a credit union, before United States District Judge Catherine D. Perry. Sentencing has been set for March 20, 2013.
This charge carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison. In determining the actual sentences, a Judge is required to consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, which provide recommended sentencing ranges.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
