Send Me Saturday Projects Unite Volunteers
Check out these 9 different ways to give back in the St. Louis community Oct. 27. Register by Oct. 22.
Volunteers are needed to participate in Send Me Saturday in one of 12 community volunteer projects hosted by organizations and faith congregations across the area. Register by Monday, Oct. 22 for the event that will happen Oct. 27.
The day will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will start with a devotional, followed by projects and lunch.
- South St. Louis City: Make minor repairs to the Christian Friends of New America to create a welcoming environment for families and guests.
- Glendale: Assemble 1600 Braille scripture calendars for Lutheran Blind Mission clients to help maintain independence and inspire.
- North St. Louis County: Host a harvest party for residents of Dunn Road Manor including craft time, entertainment and refreshments.
- Webster Groves: Host a harvest party for residents of Laclede Groves Lutheran Senior Services including craft time, entertainment and refreshments.
- Lydia's House: Prepare an apartment for a family escaping domestic abuse.
- Brentwood: Assist seniors with fall yard work and home repair to maintain a safe independent environment for residents and their community at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
- Brentwood: Collect and sort winter clothes for families in need at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
- West St. Louis County: Assist residents who have been limited by Multiple Sclerosis with various household tasks for the National MS Society.
- Lindenwood: Perform light home repair to help seniors stay safe in their homes for Lindenwood Area Senior Ministries and Timothy Lutheran Church.
