Restaurant Roundup: Coffee, Pastry Shops Coming
Three new restaurants are coming soon.
Good reviews for a University City favorite and lots of new restaurants coming to the Delmar Loop.
BluePrint Coffee
RFT's Gut Check blog reports that BluePrint Coffee is coming. The coffee shop will be in the same building as Mission Taco Joint and Chubbie's. No opening date has been announced.
Piccione Pastry Update
The owner of Butler's Pantry is opening a new pastry shop at the corner of Skinker and Delmar in the East Loop, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
Richard Nix plans a soft opening in April for his Italian-style pastry shop. Earlier this year it was thought the shop would be open in March.
The Journal reports that the shop is named for his grandmother, Grace Piccione, who owned the Varsity Theater on Delmar Boulevard.
“It’s kind of a tribute to her hard work, and to my mom’s hard work and to the family,” he told the Journal.
