Report: Wash U Student Robbed Tuesday in the Loop

Authorities are searching for a suspect.

Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a Washington University student near the Delmar Loop on Tuesday night.

KMOV reports that a 22-year-old male victim was approached by two men on Leland and Clemens Streets around 7 p.m. A suspect pushed the victim to the ground before demanding the victim's wallet and cell phone.

The victim did as the suspects asked before they ran from the scene.

Police say the victim was injured during the robbery, but did not need medical attention at the scene.

University City Police describe the suspects as being black males in their late teens to early twenties. Both men were wearing dark-colored clothing.

Authorities tell KMOV there is a person of interest in this case that is assisting in the investigation.
