Pan D'Olive Reviewed: More Value-Conscious Than Inspired

The new European restaurant was given a ho-hum review by the RFT.

Pan D’Olive, an Italian and European restaurant, opened in November near University City in the Franz Park neighborhood.

Owner Sam Kacar told Patch it’s a casual setting, where a couple can have dinner for less than $50.

“We’ll pack this bar, then we have a dining room in the back and downstairs,” he said. “It’s a reasonably-priced Mediterranean menu. Mainly Italian.”

The Riverfront Times recently reviewed the food at Pan D'Olive, visiting the restaurant three times.

The reviewer noted that most entrées come in under $20. He said "the price is more indicative of a dish's quality than is the menu's description."
