Missouri Cyclists: Heading to Iowa for RAGBRAI?

Patch will be there, too, at the Hawkeye State's premier cycling event. If you’re going, let us know. We want to feed you, water you and tell you where our charging stations are for your phones and cameras.

RAGBRAI riders slog up another grueling hill on the route.

Here’s what we know about RAGBRAI: Lots of you out there are headed to Iowa for the annual “Mardi Gras on Wheels,” a 450-mile bike ride across the rolling hills and flatlands of the Hawkeye State from July 22-28.

Patch is going along for the ride. RAGBRAI is the acronym for Registers' Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa. It's the 40th year.

In addition to riders, we’ll have a support vehicle chugging across Iowa and making stops in meeting towns and overnight cities across the route.

We plan to feed our Patchers in the overnight towns, and we’ll have water and charging stations available throughout the ride and computers available to send your photos back home.

Are you going? Contact Iowa Regional Editor Todd Richissin, and we’ll make arrangements to help you out.

Cool, less of those wacko bicyclists on our roads during that period.
