A car was struck and two people injured on the Metrolink tracks near the Delmar Station early Tuesday morning.
Fox 2 KTVI reports that the accident happened around 1:15 a.m.
A car apparently crashed through a fence and ended up on the tracks. Authorities say for some reason the red Pontiac first drove through a private lot then crashed through the fence near Rosedale and Skinker.
A short time later, a Metrolink train t-boned the car on the passenger’s side. A man and woman in their early 20s were in the car. They were both taken to an area hospital where they are in serious but stable condition.

I very much like reading the U-City Patch as it keeps me informed about things relevant to my former community and beyond - I now live just across the county line in St. Louis City. I am glad the two people in the car survived the accident but I don't care for sensational reporting of the Fox 'News' kind. It is so not relevant. Christiane Carlsson
