Food Fight: Where's the Best Burger Around?

The mid-County Patch sites want to know where to get the best hamburger.

Welcome to "Food Fight," a column aimed at finding the best foodie finds in the mid-county area — Webster, Kirkwood, Maplewood, Brentwood, Clayton, Richmond Heights, Rock Hill, University City and Warson Woods.

The weekly Food Fight is meant to be a way for readers to pick and vote on their favorite places to get certain entrees in the area. Each week, we will ask you to tell us your favorite place to get a cup of coffee or a salad or breakfast.

This week we're looking for the greatest ground beef between two buns. We want to know: Where is the best place in mid-county to get a hamburger?

You can let us know your favorite spot by commenting below. You will be able to submit your vote through 5 p.m. Tuesday.

From there, we will post your nominations in an article Wednesday morning. Then it will be time to vote again—this time for the "Food Fight" champion.

Voting will continue through 5 p.m. Thursday, and we will announce the winner first thing Friday morning.

If you are really pulling for a certain restaurant, share this column on Facebook and Twitter and ask your followers to vote.

This column is all about hearing from you!

So, without further ado, lets get the voting started. Patch readers, tell us by commenting below, where is the BEST place to get a burger in mid-St. Louis County?

About this column: Each week, the Mid-County Patch sites will be on the hunt for the best eats around. Food Fight will allow readers to vote on the best foodie finds in the area. It's got to be Three Kings Public House! Their Chipotle Southwest burger is awesome and my girlfriend says the veggie burger is one of the best she's ever had!

Sorry, but fatted calf wins hands down! This Clayton eatery is so delish that my dad used to drive here from Nebraska (and Omaha stockyards & beef are primo!) Just for the burgers & toppings!

Sorry, but I believe the Fatted Calf has closed. Carl's is the best - you must experience.

Three Kings is definitely THE BEST Veggie burger in town, and I've been on a mission and had em all (sub zero ain't bad)...If their real burger is half as good...it must be great!

The Tavern in Valley Park. They do the basics well. The relish is the finishing touch.

Foley's, right here in our backyard, has a really good hamburger! Stop in for lunch and find out for yourself.
