Election 2012: Deals, Discounts and Watch Parties

A guide to election-themed goods and specials on Nov. 6 (some of them are free!). Looking for a nearby watch party? Patch has those, too.

 

Are you participating in the democratic process on Tuesday? Don't forget to take a moment and reward yourself for your patriotism. Several St. Louis organizations and businesses--as well as national chains--are offering up presidential food, discounts, or a place for you to watch the results roll in.

Other cool stuff

  • Customers of Urban Outfitters can stop the store to score a 20 percent discount if they present their “I voted” sticker, according to a report from L.A. Times. St. Louis residents can redeem this offer at the St. Louis Galleria.
  • Groupon has a bevy of online election deals currently available for redemption, including online bartending classes and political magazine subscriptions.
  • Souls to the Polls will be offering transportation to polling places. Call them at 314-480-6233 for more information.

Watch parties and related activities

  • On Monday evening the St. Louis Police Department choir will perform at an election day prayer vigil at Central Baptist Church, 2842 Washington Ave., at 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by Souls to the Polls.
  • Governor Jay Nixon, Attorney General Chris Koster, and Treasurer Clint Zweifel are hosting their election night watch party at The Pageant.
  • The Coliseum Music Lounge, 2619 Washington Ave. in St. Louis, invites customers to stop by right after work for their watch party.
