Doris Graham Wins STLCC Trustee Seat

The former Ferguson-Florissant school board member captured 47 percent of the vote to win the seat.

Last year, Doris A. Graham was ousted from the Ferguson-Florissant School District Board of Education in last April’s municipal election. Tuesday night proved quite different for the educator, though.

Graham won the St. Louis Community College Subdistrict 1 seat with 12,861 votes. She beat out three other candidates with 47 percent of the vote.

Graham served on the Ferguson-Florissant Board of Education for 22 years. Last year, she told Patch that she had no hard feelings about the loss of her board seat.

“I will still be actively involved in our community,” she said. “I have a passion for our district, and I want it to be the best it can be.”

Graham will succeed Rep. Margo McNeil’s (D-Florissant) term on the board for the subdistrict.

Subdistrict 1 serves the HazelwoodFerguson-Florissant, Riverview Gardens, Jennings, Pattonville, Ritenour, University City, Normandy, Clayton and Ladue school districts.
