With Missouri's primary election coming up fast, candidates are planning last minute events across the region.
The primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 7.
Here are a few candidate events happening this weekend:
John Brunner's campaign for the U.S. Senate will kick off the weekend Friday night with a rally at the campaign's Olive Boulevard headquarters in Creve Coeur, located near the AMC 16 Theatre.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m to fire up supporters and encourage "Get Out The Vote" efforts.
Todd Akin
Another top-tier Republican in the field of eight candidates, Todd Akin has been on what his campaign has called a "Leading With Courage" tour around the state.
He will be at the Sheraton Lakeside Chalet - Wesport Plaza at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3.
Investor Fred Sauer, a Republican candidate for governor, will be in Chesterfield from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
Sauer owns Orion Investment Company, according to the website, located at 7800 Forsyth in St. Louis.
