UCHS Announcements: Summer Swim Program, Scholarships for Water Polo Camps

Free Summer Swim Program for Entering 6th Grade and Older

UC High School coaches will have summer practices for incoming and returning swimmers, both boys and girls, on MWF 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the NAT beginning June 4.

This summer program is for girls and boys entering middle or high school. No experience is necessary. Each session includes instruction, a workout and games. High school coaches Mary Nani Lhotak and Thomas Kenyon are leading the program.

Informational meeting is at 5 p.m. at the Natatorium 7420 Shaftesbury on Wednesday, June 6. There is no cost for the summer aquatics program, but each athlete needs a MSHSAA Physical (available @ucityschool.org, under University City High School and Athletic Department and Forms).

Scholarships Available for Local Water Polo Camps — all ages, no experience needed

Four generous scholarships available for students aged 5-14 for either a splashball (pre water polo) camp at Warson Woods CC, or a water polo camp at Clayton Shaw Park, Maplewood or Ladue locations for older students.

Splashball is on Monday and Thursday mornings in June and July and the water polo camps are weekly morning camps in July. Details for both of these opportunities are in the attachment and will be discussed at a meeting on June 6 at 5pm at the Nat. This meeting is also for middle school parents wanting more info about the summer/year round aquatics program now offered.

This is a totally free aquatic program for middle and high schoolers in University City School DIstrict. If you are unable to make the meeting Wenesday night, please obtain forms from athletic office at University CIty HS or on website for UCHS, under Athletic Department and Forms.
